Remote Starter Systems – What You Don’t Know Can Cost You
If you’re looking for Remote Starter Systems installation, you’ll need a transponder so the car will start properly.
Some remote starter systems shops ask for an extra key that contains the transponder that’s needed. Don’t do this.
Each car has a module that’s designed to work with remote starters and it should be included with the remote start system you’re having installed.

Sure… thank you, Stu
But since the module in the remote start has taken care the the transponder security system, does it still leave it open to being driven with an unprogrammed key? Or does that module shut off when you turn the ignition switch on?
The bypass only engages while car is starting… The car can’t be started without a programmed key. Thank you, Stu 267-225-2191
